HELIX P12V
 
From the HELIX PRECISION-series we have recently tested the P12V. This is a vented subwoofer with a
massive 12” chassis. The wooden cabinet is tidy applied with felt and breathes with a streamlined 4 inch port
and a triangle brace inside the box.
 
The Precision-woofer consists of a die-cast frame with little drilled holes for the venting. The additional venting
below the voice coil makes the woofer breathing in any corner. The impulse is extremely powerful and
because of the 3”-coil a huge magnet is necessary. The results are a fantastic driving data and measured
values with an enormous capacity.
 
Sound
At the beginning the HELIX plays dutifully and doesn’t force on, it just makes real bass sounds. But with the
according music the P12V plays with enormous strokes up to the deepest abyss and copes with maximum
levels. Because it doesn’t fail in the accuracy as well, we really have to acclaim. Moreover the P12V is the low-
priced subwoofer in the test, the result is extraordinary good!
